Portfolio
The Portfolio section groups your investment holdings and related cash flows. Each position is a holding (stock, fund, PE vehicle, property, etc.) with a history of transactions (buys, sells, dividends, valuations, fees).

Positions and transactions
- NAV / market value usually comes from Point in Time Valuation transactions after statement uploads — not from editing the position row directly.
- Buy / Sell / Dividend / Capital Call / Distribution / Interest / Fees — each type drives cashflow direction; values are always positive magnitudes.
- Legal entity — each position belongs to one entity (trust, individual, company). Set this at creation or via bulk update in chat.
Hierarchy and lookthrough
Some holdings are parents with child positions (e.g. a bank sleeve owning underlying funds). The parent shows children in search and detail.
Separately, fund composition lookthrough shows weight-% lines from a linked fund composition (ETF or manager fund breakdown) — not the same as owned child positions.
Before claiming a fund has “no underlying holdings”, expand the position or ask chat to search_positions with the parent id.
Managers and custodians
- Manager — usually the person on the position (money manager contact).
- Custodian — the bank or platform holding the asset (company link).
Imports
Upload statements in Documents, Inbox, or AI Agents. For more than ~20 lines from a file, chat uses batch import; smaller sets create individual approval cards.
