Contacts (/contacts) is the CRM — people, their companies, roles, and communication history.

Contacts vs companies

• Contacts — individuals (managers, lawyers, founders)
• Companies — organisations linked to contacts (custodians, GPs, investee companies)

Linking to portfolio

• Manager on a position → contact (and optionally their company)
• Deal flow → linked contacts and companies on the card
• Chat can create_contact, update_contact, link_contact_company, and email_contact
• Chat can search, create, update, and delete companies and contacts. Deleting a duplicate moves its links onto the record you keep (usually the older one). Linked people stay unless you ask to delete them too
• The same delete-and-keep applies to deals, holdings, costs, bank accounts, legal entities, trips, calendar events, and tasks
